Jordan Peele Teases ‘ Nope’ Sequel

In an interview with The New York Times, Jordan Peele teased a Nope sequel while addressing some lingering questions that we all have about his mind-melting sci-fi horror film. A mysterious character named Nobody, credited to Michael Busch (Conan), can be seen on IMDB. It caught plenty of attention from keen-eyed fans, which leads the door open for a movie that seemed to have closed plenty of its doors. How Jordan Peele hints at a Nope sequel, he talked about this character and other things in this world he could explore. “The story of that character has yet to be told, I can tell you that,” he said. “Which is another frustrating way of saying, I’m glad people are paying attention. I do think they will get even more answers on some of these things in the future. We’re not over telling all of these stories.” Jordan Peele hints at Nope sequel
The mysterious character is not seen in the final cut of the film. When Jordan Peele was geared to release Nope, the final trailer gave seconds’ worth of a look at Nobody (seen above) casually walking while people ran in the opposite direction. From what the filmmaker said, it sounds like there is more to this character. It is unknown how much was cut that would see Nobody, but even with a minor role, the director has a trend of making the seemingly insignificant important to either the story or the themes he tackles with each project. With a long comedy career, Jordan Peele continues domination over horror with Nope as the film pushes toward the $150 million mark. After Get Out and Us, along with non-directing duties in projects like The Twilight Zone, Candyman, and Lovecraft Country, he has cemented himself to be on the level of other major horror heavy hitters in the modern scene of the genre. His latest film is still in theaters and is available on VOD. It stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun.
