The Try Guys Address Ned Fulmer’ s Firing

Fulmer’s firing was announced last week amidst speculation that he was cheating on his wife Ariel Fulmer with an employee. In a new video from The Try Guys YouTube channel, the remaining Try Guys (Eugene Lee Yang, Zach Kornfeld, and Keith Habersberger) emotionally addressed the issues that led to Fulmer being released from the company, giving a timeline of events as well as their thought process in the matter. Once Fulmer confirmed the rumors to the team, Kornfeld explained, “We immediately removed Ned from work activities and engaged an HR professional to conduct a thorough review of the facts. We also opted to remove Ned from our releases pending the results of that review. Habersberger went on to say that while they can’t disclose the details of the review, they found that Fulmer had engaged in “conduct unbecoming of our team, and we knew that we could not move forward with him. So on Friday, September 16th, the three of us signed written consent of the members of Second Try LLC approving the removal of Ned as a manager and an employee. PopSugar explains that The Try Guys became famous in 2014 as a team of four who would comedically try everything from labor pain simulators, testing their alcohol limits, obscure recipes, and replicating iconic music video choreography. Fulmer established himself as the “Wife Guy,” with much of his content centered on his seemingly strong devotion to his wife and his children Wesley, age four, and Finley, age one. Fulmer’s confirmed infidelity has significantly damaged his reputation and The Try Guys brand. A visually sad and angered Yang says in the video, “This is someone who we’d built a brand and a company with for eight years. We feel saddened, not just personally, but on behalf of our staff and our fans who believed in us.” Kornfeld’s voice breaks as he says, “We’re losing a friend, we’re losing someone we built a company with, we have countless memories with… I’m sure many of you feel the same way. Fulmer and his wife addressed the controversy on Instagram, with Ned apologizing and Ariel asking for privacy. The couple was photographed and videotaped together the day after the announcement, still wearing their wedding bands. When asked if they would work things out, Ariel said, “We’re working on working things out.” Ned Fulmer’s infidelity, which led to his firing from The Try Guys, is not the only case of male celebrities getting caught in cheating scandals. Adam Levine’s reputation has taken a major blow due to his cheating scandal, and Ime Ukoda was suspended from coaching the Boston Celtics for cheating on his fiance.
