Anthony Fantano roasts Eminem & Snoop Dogg s Bored Ape NFT song
Zackerie Fairfax Published: 2022-06-27T19:11:27 Updated: 2022-06-27T19:11:27Anthony FantanoEminemSnoop DoggWorld-renowned rappers Eminem & Snoop Dogg have just released a song using their Bored Ape NFTs in promotional imagery, and the internet’s busiest music nerd Anthony Fantano couldn’t help but roast this new track. NFTs have found their way into nearly every form of multi-media, and the Bored Ape Yacht Club is one of the main offenders. These digital assets are in video games, have their own TV shows, and have been featured in several SoundCloud rap songs. Two hip-hop legends Eminem and Snoop Dog have recently a single titled ‘From The D 2 The LBC’. The track was previewed during Ape Fest 2022 (an NFT-centric event), and its artwork and music video feature the rappers’ respective Bored Apes. While the lyrics of the song never reference their NFTs, every other aspect of the piece is wrapped in non-fungible monkeys. Music critic Anthony Fantano had a few words to share with his followers regarding the Bored Ape-influenced track. Fantano thinks Bored Ape song is Not Good
During his New Music Friday stream on June 24, Anthony Fantano reviewed the new Eminem & Snoop Dogg single. Upon seeing the track, Fantano has a visceral reaction preemptively rubbing his head before hearing the first note of the track. Read More: Anthony Fantano stunned by Logic’s massive shoutout on new album “Eminem and Snoop Dogg coming out with a song for their Bored Ape NFTs,” Fantano stated before chuckling at the words he had just uttered. “Let’s hear this f**king bulls**t.” Ten seconds in, following Eminem’s “this should have happened a while ago” line, Fantano interjected. “No, this absolutely should not have happened a while ago! Honestly, I could wait 20 more years for this.” He continued, “Nobody asked for this. I mean, the millionaires behind all of this shadowy crypto s**t asked for it – they paid you for it. But nobody was like ‘man, you know what. I really need an Eminem song about NFTs.'” After chuckling his way through the song, Fantano asked Siri how to delete a song on the internet, and gave the track an official “Not Good” rating. But as he always says, that’s just his opinion. To form your own, go check out the music video for ‘From The D 2 The LBC’.
