Man pleads guilty to murdering landlord days before trial begins Brian Peters, Jr., stole his victim's truck and fled south to 'commit additional crimes of violence' before police caught him. .Brian Peters, Jr., 35, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder on Thursday, days ahead of his trial for the killing.Peterskilled Robert Runkle, 65, at his home at 34 North Gotwalt Streetin West Manchester Township the night of March 30.A witness told police they woke to the sound of screaming about two hours before the body was found, according to the York Dispatch. When the witness went to check on the sound, he saw Peters holding a knife and standing over Runkle with a pillow covering his head, the York Dispatch said. Read more:
