Okay, we get it: ‘80s synthwave is a theme going through gaming right now. I thought it was going to run its course like all fads, but I forgot that Destiny still hadn’t released it’s latest season yet. That meant there’s still at least one more game to jump on the bandwagon, and it arrives in the form of a new dungeon. In , dungeons are sort of like mini-raids. They’re three players instead of six, and they’re typically much shorter in length than raids. We got our first dungeon in Forsaken with Shattered Throne, and then the second one arrived with Shadowkeep in the Pit of Heresy. brings us a brand new dungeon called Prophecy that has us enter through the Drifter’s ship, the Derelict. Transported to the realm of Ix, Guardians will descend into what appears to be an Escher drawing. Not only is up actually down, but Light is now Dark, and there are Taken absolutely everywhere. Don’t expect those Taken to greet you with open arms and lemonade. Well, maybe the open arms part, but those arms will be filled with ethereal claws. Prophecy will be the new Pinnacle activity in Destiny 2, so expect this dungeon to be tough. Low-level players won’t be able to access it and even high-level players will face quite the challenge. Your reward for murdering all those Taken will be reprised sets of Trials of the Nine armor from Destiny 1 and new DAITO Foundry armor, both of which look pretty sweet.
