Pro-tip: Nina Cortex's alignment may come as a big surprise and one character's alignment totally changes. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Lawful Good

By now, no one is surprised to find out that Aku Aku, guardian of the Wumpa Islands, is a Lawful Good character in the series. His scattered masks around the area always help Crash to tackle whatever monsters or challenges await him. The witch doctor spirit is also a kind of father figure to Crash and Coco, as well as to Crunch later on. He can even understand whatever Crash tries to say. He locked away his evil brother Uka Uka long ago, but everyone knows how that turns out.

Neutral Good

The of the series is a simple dude: He runs, jumps, collects Wumpa fruit, and freaks out when there are boulders careening toward him. Developer Naughty Dog sought to create a protagonist that is "goofy yet heroic" and that personality trait continues to this day. Crash has few moments where he ever loses his cool or does anything untoward. Threatening Coco (or Tawna in the first game) is one of the few ways to get under his skin. The only out-of-character moment many fans acknowledge comes in Crash Tag Team Racing where he seems to enjoy torturing park drones, animals, and seemingly himself.

Chaotic Good

Coco, as fans know, is Crash's sister and another one of Neo Cortex's experiments. She's a highly intelligent and plucky engineer, inventor, and hacker. She even defeats Doctor N. Gin in the second game with her pet tiger cub Pura (who appears later in this list). Many people tend to categorize her as neutral good, but let's face it: she is capricious, orders Crash around, and often ignores things like simple household chores. D. Va wishes she could be Coco's level of gremlin.

Lawful Neutral

Fans of the series will instantly recognize all of these classic characters. The two on the right are, of course, Polar and Pura respectively. Being Crash and Coco's pets, they don't have much of their own agency. They help out on missions and to defeat bad guys. One of whom is, originally, Tiny Tiger. Nitrus Brio created him so he had a loyalty to his creator initially, but his intelligence increased after the events of Crash of the Titans. He goes onto find success in creating fitness videos and even opens his own fitness clubs after Crash Team Racing.

True Neutral

It's difficult to classify characters as True Neutral much of the time because an actual True Neutral character just doesn't have much going on. Think of that one episode of with the Neutral race. But Fake Crash and Papu Papu kind of fit the bill in this case. While Fake Crash or "Trash Bandicoot" is technically a , but that was because N. Trance hypnotized him. Otherwise, Naughty Dog just made the character after seeing a really bad rip-off of Crash. Papu Papu, leader of the tribesmen on N. Sanity Island, mostly cares about food. While he isn't a bad guy, he seems to be on talking terms with Uka Uka in both Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing.

Chaotic Neutral

Fans might have expected Koala Kong to open gyms like Tiny Tiger; he actually becomes a movie star after failing to defeat Crash. His lower IQ contributes to his erratic behavior. He also has a speech impediment which, and this is canon, he sees a speech therapist for. Dingodile also finds a new life post-Crash battles and, like Tiny Tiger and Koala Kong, is a Cortex creation. However, his hobbies vary from game to game. In one, he becomes a fireman while in another, he starts an animal breeding program to create "unique and interesting" pets. Don Pinstripelli Potorotti is CEO of his own company and Cortex's bodyguard. A parody of mafia gangsters, Pinstripe will do almost anything for money including try to save the world in Crash Team Racing. Though she tends toward evil due to her uncle, Nina Cortex veers more toward Chaotic Neutral. After all, why else would she force Aku Aku and Crash to kiss before helping them?

Lawful Evil

Doctor Neo Cortex is the ultimate villain and has created or contributed to almost all of the bad guys in the universe. But he does have some rules and so does Uka Uka, the evil twin brother of Aku Aku. They both take issue with the Evil Twins trying to take over the world in the Crash: Twinsanity game. and Crash have a great deal of character development in that game, but Uka Uka just can't allow anyone but himself or his own minions to destroy the world.

Neutral Evil

Elementals art uploaded by Used by Uka Uka and Cortex, the evil mask spirit group known as the Elementals serve as a power source for Crunch Bandicoot. With regards to Nitrus Brio, he worked under Cortex, who betrayed the former and took credit for his work. As such, he doesn't have total loyalty to Cortex. Despite helping Crash to take on Cortex in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, he reunites with Cortex in . Doctor N. Gin has a missile permanently lodged in his brain, but he was also Cortex and Brio's classmate at the Academy of Evil. He never deviates from serving as an antagonist for Crash and Coco. Doctor Nefarious Tropy (N. Tropy) is a good friend of N. Trance (who falls under the Chaotic Evil category). He rivals Cortex in intellect and openly opposes him at times.

Chaotic Evil

Evil Crash uploaded by . Madame Amberly uploaded by . Evil Crash is pretty much exactly the same as his name: An evil version of Crash from . His animalistic nature contributes to his chaotic behavior like eating the Evil Twins. Created when Cortex's pet parrots got sent to the tenth dimension, the Evil Twins swear vengeance on Cortex and, in order to get that, try to destroy the world. Madame Amberley runs the Academy of Evil where Doctors Cortex, N. Gin, Nina, and N. Brio all got schooled. She treats Cortex so horribly that he kills her later in a weird, Sweeney Todd-esque manner. Lastly, many fans' favorite – . Appearing as many would imagine a mutated, insane kangaroo, he was the first of Cortex's experiments. He often will blow himself up if it means taking out others, too.

Then There s Crunch Bandicoot

Crunch is created to fight Crash, but later joins the "good guys" and protects Coco and Crash. Whatever alignment Crunch might have started as, he ends up as Lawful Good. He scolds Crash when he burps and even tells people to brush their teeth. What alignments would characters like N. Trance or the Komodo Brothers be?
