The 10 Most Powerful Pokémon Of Each Type

Pokemon has 1000s of creatures roaming the world in all shapes and sizes. Here are some of the best and most powerful Pokemon in the world. In the world of , there are 18 distinct types for players to choose from. Each type has its own benefits and drawbacks, which end up giving seasoned players an advantage if they pick the right Pokémon to counter their opponent. Pokémon with a single-type advantage will net double damage against their opponents, while Pokémon with the double-type advantage will land quadruple damage. When these attacks land, a message usually appears saying “It’s super-effective”, just to let the player know that they’ve played their cards right. However, there are Pokémon that deal the most damage in the game, and they don’t need the player to be an expert in strategy. These are, of course, the most powerful Pokémon of each type. Thanks to their insane stats, they are hard to defeat and are a challenge for almost any other type of Pokémon. These are the ones every gamer should strive to get. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Ice Kyurem

In its base form, Kyurem isn’t much to write about. However, when it comes to ice-type Pokémon, Kyurem is unbeatable in both its forms: Kyurem Black and Kyurem White. While the two Kyurems share the same stat value of 700, their placing in the game is not the same. Players on the lookout for a decent OU pick should opt for Kyurem Black, and Kyurem White stands out among the Ubers. Kyurem might not be the strongest in the game, but it is lethal to Pokémon with a weakness to ice, like dragon-type Pokémons.

Dragon Mega Rayquaza

When players want to show off, they use Mega Rayquaza. This is the strongest dragon-type Pokémon in the game, and boy is he worth it! In the game, no Pokémon comes with higher base stats; in fact, most Pokémon doesn’t even come close to him. Only Mewtwo's Mega forms match Mega Rayquaza when it comes to base stats. The Mega Rayquaza is also the reason why Anything Goes was created; this is a tier beyond even Ubers that shows off way too much. When it comes to Pokémon that can easily win a fight with only their insane base stats, nothing is more overpowered than Mega Rayquaza.

Dark Mega Tyranitar

In its base form, Tyranitar already has amazing stats. However, it reaches an almost overwhelming level when it evolves to its Dark form and becomes Mega Tyranitar. In this form, a lot of power has been poured into the Pokémon, to the extent that its back has split open. The Mega Tyranitar would not be able to move if it wasn’t for its destructive instincts, and it is also one of the most ferocious Pokémon. After its evolution, even the lethal Yveltal cannot hold a match to Mega Tyranitar in its overpowered Dark form.

Fighting Mega Mewtwo X

Mega Mewtwo X is easily the strongest fighting-type Pokémon in the game. It has a whopping 780 base stats, which makes it a nightmare for other fighting Pokémon with weaker stats. Mega Mewtwo X also uses an insane 190 attack damage, elevating it to one of the most annoying Pokémon in the game, laying waste to virtually every opponent without breaking a sweat. Thanks to its versatility and the sheer damage it causes, Mega Mewtwo X is a Pokémon that gamers should be wary of when facing it, but it can act as their trump card if they own it.

Normal Arceus

Arceus is often referred to as the “Alpha Pokémon”, and is one of the most beloved Pokémon for gamers. In fact, it is one of the few Pokémon that fans have loved more than the universally loved Pikachu. Arceus is a mythical Pokémon and is generally considered the god of all Pokémon since it created the universe. It also has a signature move called Judgement that other Pokémon cannot even hope to learn. Even though Arceus can change into any form, it is the strongest Pokémon with a Normal base type, boasting total stats of 720.

Fairy Mega Diancie

The Diancie is a dual-type Fairy/Rock Mythical Pokémon. It does not evolve into another Pokémon, but it can Mega Evolve into Mega Diancie through the Diancite. The result is the strongest Fairy-type Pokémon in the game. Its base HP is fairly small, at only 50. However, the rest of its stats more than makeup for it, ranging from 110 to 160. In the right hands, Mega Diancie can be the strongest Pokémon in the game. It is also the only Generation VI Pokémon or Mythical Pokémon that can Mega Evolve, making it a great catch for most players.

Steel Mega Metagross

The Mega Metagross is one of the toughest Pokémon in the game. With insanely high defense and attack stats, its status as the strongest Steel-type Pokémon in the game is not an exaggeration. It is also one of the least friendly Pokémon, with a lower than normal Base Friendship. The Mega Metagross is huge, with a height of 2.5 meters, and it is incredibly clever. It is not rare for this Pokémon to use intellect to defeat its enemies in the cruelest ways possible. The Mega Metagross is also known for being the ace Pokémon of Steven Stone, Hoenn’s Champion.

Ghost Giratina

Giratina is the strongest Ghost-type Pokémon in the game, and it was one of the first Pokémon to come in various forms, Origin, and Altered. By switching between the two forms, Giratina can take on different roles in each team. That’s a good thing since Giratina cannot evolve to any other Pokémon. In its Origin Forme, the Pokémon is the mascot of Pokémon Platinum, and it even appears on the game’s box art. Other than being the strongest Ghost-type Pokémon, Giratina is also one of the three creation Pokémon of Sinnoh, along with Palkia and Dialga.

Flying Mega Rayquaza

The Rayquaza is a dual-type Flying/Dragon Legendary Pokémon. If it knows Dragon Ascent, it can Mega Evolve into Mega Rayquaza, where it becomes seriously powerful with sky-high stats that make it the strongest Flying Pokémon (and the strongest Dragon Pokémon, as well). Mega Rayquaza’s strongest ability, Delta Stream, only makes using it seems like you’re cheating. Of course, this is a massive boost to anyone actually using it. Mega Rayquaza’s base stats are more balanced than Pokémon like the Mega Metagross, though its defense and HP are a tad low. However, with the amount of power it contains, this is not a Pokémon to trifle with.

Electric Zekrom

Zekrom is the strongest Electric-type Pokémon in the game, leaving the other Electric Pokémon in its dust. It generally creates electricity through its tail. As a dual-type Electric/Dragon Legendary Pokémon, Zekrom does not evolve into any other Pokémon. However, it can fuse with Kyurem to turn into Black Kyurem. This Pokémon exists in the Unova Region’s legends, and it is one of the Tao Trio, alongside Kyurem and Reshiram. With over 100 points in each category, Zekrom isn’t just the most powerful Electric Pokémon; it is also one of the strongest in the game in terms of balance.
