The fourth day of the Commonwealth Games was a good one for India with Punam Yadav winning a gold in Weightlifting & Mery Kom securing at least a Bronze for herself in Boxing. Vikas Thakur also won Bronze in weightlifting. Indian women's team also beat an in-form England side in women's hockey 2-1, coming back from a goal down.

The Women's 10m Air Pistol participants, India's Manu Bhaker & Heena Sidhu bagged a Gold medal and Silver medal respectively. Indian women's team won Gold in Table Tennis as well.

Indian women begin their quest for Gold in track events on Day 5 as Poonamma Machettira and Hima Das take part in 400m round 1 heats. Das will be making her Commonwealth debut whereas Poonamma will be heading to the track for her second successive Commonwealth Games. Load More
