Clothing that used to be solely worn in the gym now forms the basis of our daily wardrobes, which means plain, unassuming items no longer cut the mustard. Now we want our activewear to be both stylish and functional. Enter, Next’s latest Active line. Created in partnership with Denise Lewis OBE, the former gold medal-winning field and track athlete who specialised in the heptathlon (and now mum of four), this edit of performance clothing is engineered ‘for the gym of life,’ says Next. ‘Whether you’re lunging to strengthen your legs or lunging to pick up toys – you can rely on the comfort, support and technical performance of Next Active to help you achieve your goals!’ reads a caption on Instagram from Next, featuring Denise in a matching crop top and leggings set. Denise also posted to Instagram about the collection, saying: ‘I’ve teamed up with @nextofficial to bring you my favourite pieces from their AMAZING Next Active range. I used to train with Olympians, now I train with everyday women – and as a mum of four – I know what it’s like to be on-the-go, 24/7. ‘I’ve been wearing these pieces for months now (and I love them!).
