Original Ash Ketchum Voice Actor Comments On Pokémon League Outcome In The Best Way
Original Ash Ketchum Voice Actor Comments On Pokémon League Outcome In The Best Way Nintendo Life Ash's younger self returns by Share: After 20 long years of adventure, battling, and being an all-round hero to kids all around the globe, Pokémon's Ash Ketchum has finally achieved his ultimate dream. We assume you have no issues with anime spoilers if you're still reading, so let's all say it together: Ash has ! To celebrate the occasion, Ash's original English-language voice actor Veronica Taylor has shared a fully-spoken message online. As you may be aware, the original cast of voice acting talent was replaced for Season 9 onwards (just over a decade ago), and while both Taylor and 'new Ash' Sarah Natochenny fit the part nicely in their own way, we'll always have a soft spot for the original. You can hear the message below for yourself - the voice sounds a little higher than we remember, but that laugh at the end is unmistakably the Ash we grew up with. In a nice touch, Taylor presents the whole thing as if Ash's younger self is commenting on the victory. - Veronica Taylor (@TheVeronicaT) "It's your younger - but still the same age - self". Brilliant. Can you believe that Ash has actually claimed a Pokémon League title? What does this mean for the character going forward, we wonder? [source ] Share: About Ryan can list the first 151 Pokémon all in order off by heart – a feat he calls his ‘party trick’ despite being such an introvert that he’d never be found anywhere near a party. He’d much rather just have a night in with Mario Kart and a pizza, and we can’t say we blame him. Comments ) this is so heartwarming, its like seeing a lil piece of original anime we never got to see Don't forget if we got Veronica Taylor's voice also for Sailor Pluto (VIZ dubbing). I love that Mr Mime is Ash’s new dad About time! Seeing him lose the Indigo League in the dumbest way possible felt like a kick below the belt as a kid! I'm surprised it took them this long to let him win. Now maybe they can focus on other long-overdue developments, like giving Ash a birthday! This has a lot of effort put into it but it was a bit creepy. This was cute. And very classy on her part. Congrats to Ash She also played Ash's mum. You can tell that she still has a special place in her heart for the series, and it's sad that the original English voice cast were removed from it. Cute!
His eyes look a bit freaky though. I hate the childish immature appearance of the modern show. Pokemon was a quality show when it’s started, and now it’s not. Her Ash voice doesn't sound the same as it used to, i guess to many years of not doing that particular voice has made her a bit rusty. Still, that was awesome, she tweeted like the very best that no one ever was! Last time I watched the Nethelands still had the same actress dubbing him. I still don't know if it's the writing or her acting, but I always REALLY disliked Ash.
( Cocky little , totally full of himself.Never thinking about anyone else.) The gym's and leagues were a huge reason I loved the show (especially after the times he lost matches!) I got to try the English version on Netflix again sometime, maybe I'll enjoy it ^_^ Saw this elsewhere last night. Definitely a touching tribute from the voice of Ash that I remember. Sarah is pretty decent, but I'll always prefer Veronica. The one and only true voice of Ash Ketchum. Love it! Sorry, this is just a setup for a wonderful dream sequence next season when Ash wakes up in a hospital because he lost so hard the last time. Did not expect anyone from the older dub to comment on this. Even though it's nice to hear Ash's original voice again, you can hear in the clip that Veronica hasn't performed in that voice for many years. I'm not trying to be mean, but it's normal for you to lose talent in a skill if you decreased or stopped doing it for a while.
I used to think the series was good up until a certain point, but I'm sorry to say that was never the case even from the beginning. Been watching some of the show recently, and I've quickly come to notice how poorly written the story and characters are. Inconsistency in how the world, people, and pokemon work. Characters are continuously forgetting past events or talking about them incorrectly. People are always relearning the same lessons they already should know even if it was just a couple of episodes ago. The worst of it is most of these problems come from Ash himself. He is insufferable because of these glaring issues. I wouldn't mind it if he were a side character you see once in a while, but no, they had to make him the main protagonist. He is not someone you want or should look up too at all. Before you whine to me on how horrible I am for berating something from your childhood, give the show a watch, and don't let your nostalgia blind you. The only decent thing out of the whole series was the voice acting from season 9 and earlier. Even with the terrible writing, the performance and energy that most of the actors put into there rolls are still quite enjoyable. Enjoy Alola then, mate. I love Veronica. I knew her as Amelia in Slayers long before I knew her as Ash. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
