So the news that they’ve teamed up for an exclusive and crucially, delicious range of products will be music to the ears of lovers of the spread across the nation. Yes, M&S and Marmite have joined forces to bring not one, not two but three new Marmite products to the food hall, all of which are set to be gamechangers in your recipe repertoire. Alamy Stock Photo First up is Marmite Creamy Butter, an 100g roll of dairy butter infused with the classic taste of Marmite. ‘Sear your steak with it for the perfect salty sweet caramelisation, toss your roasties in it for a flawless crunchy coating or just make that jacket potato the best it’s ever been,’ the store suggests. Marmite Creamy Butter, £3, Marks & Spencer (from 4 March) The butter will be joined in the chiller cabinet by Marmite Cream Cheese; ideal for spreading over your breakfast bagel or even adding to pasta or soup. Marmite Cream Cheese, £2.50, Marks & Spencer (from 4 March) However, if you want your Marmite fix on the go, M&S have got you covered too, with the introduction of a cheese and Marmite pastry twist, which will go on sale in the bakery section. Melt-in-the-mouth pastry, tangy cheddar and a zing of Marmite-y goodness… it’s a buttery, flaky dream come true, and frankly, our mouths are watering already. April Preston, Director of Product Development says of the genius project: ‘Partnering with an iconic and loved brand like Marmite is the stuff dreams are made of, so when the opportunity arose to collaborate with them on these new and innovative products, we knew the end result was going to be delicious. I can’t wait to see what customers make of the range!’ Sophie Allan, Marmite Brand Manager added: ‘In 2019, we saw a huge volume of requests for a Marmite Cream Cheese. So, it made perfect sense to team up with M&S and create this exclusive range with them. We think they are ideal for first time Marmite eaters and, of course, our lovers too’.
