Like, would help your grandma cross the road and will ask your mum how her Chrysanthemums are doing. What I’m saying is that he will cause a bit of a ruckus and then whoever ends up coupled up with him will realise that he’s just tall. Is that mean? It sounds a bit mean, but just you wait. Molly-Mae’s fascination with Danny was just because he was the shiny new thing in the villa. She needed to wait and see what the other girls felt before stepping on too many toes. I’m glad the Danny coupled with Yewande in the end. They definitely had more chemistry and as it turned out, Molly-Mae’s attention was only temporary. Hani: First impressions: I’m happy that Yewande’s getting some screen time, but like, Danny’s whole nice guy thing isn’t going to give me the drama that I want. Like, they’re a ~hot~ couple, but they’re not an interesting couple. Molly-Mae on the other hand – I don’t think she’s actually into any of the boys there, she just likes attention. Danny doesn’t seem to be all that exciting, so I don’t really get how her head’s been turned. I hope Danny and Yewande are in it for the long haul, but I’m gonna need her to throw on some Misguided or PrettyLittleThing, because the whole tracksuit and glasses combo just isn’t doing it. Sherif s shock exit ITV2 / Love Island Josie: Let me tell you that there was widespread shock in the office when we heard that Sherif had left the villa. There were multiple theories and rumours flying about and we collectively interrogated them all. When it came out that he was taken out of the villa for accidentally kicking Molly-Mae in the groin I was a bit confused – if he is telling the truth, it doesn’t seem right that he had to go. We’ve all had a playfight that has ended up with someone getting hit in the groin, have we not?! Hani: Sherif leaving the villa has been on my mind so much this week. He was my fave from the start, so I’m honestly so gutted at his sudden and mysterious departure. I’m sure you’ve heard all the rumours (him pooing in the pool was my personal fave), but now that we’ve gotten the truth, I’m sad. Obviously I wasn’t there, but the reason seems overly harsh and kind of unfair. The Commitment Bandwagon ITV2 Josie: I know that Curtis intended calling Amy his "half girlfriend" in the hideaway as a cute thing, but really it just kind of pissed me off. Why the need to say that then? Just wait until you’re properly ready! But what pissed me off more was Joe and Lucie jumping on the bandwagon. My theory is that Joe is fully aware of the fact that couples who are strong early on tend to win and thinks that they are in with a chance but what they don’t realise is that couples who have done this in the past have also been integral parts of the villa. Lucie needs to start being more of a girls' girl and getting out there and having fun, rather than just moping around the house with Joe and Joe needs to actually make some friends and stop being so slimy. Also, Joe should never ever refer to him and Lucie as “Juicy” again. Hani: Sorry, but I’m not a fan of Amy and Curtis. Half girlfriend?? Is this year six?! I can’t think of anyone who would appreciate someone deeming them not yet worthy of being their actual girlfriend – he should’ve just said he liked her and left it at that. Joe fully jumped on the bandwagon because he knows he’s competing against Amy and Curtis for the most committed (read: boring) relationship. He’s way too tactical and just comes off as creepy. The new girls – Maura and Elma ITV2 Josie: No disrespect to Elma, but I’m going to dedicate this section completely to Maura. Wow. I mean, wow. She is what we’ve been needing in this series — someone to truly shake things up and bring a bit of ~heat~ into the house. She is just a ball of sexual energy and while it was fun to watch at first, she has definitely crossed the line a few times. I think the kissing attempt is what really threw Tommy off her and I’m glad that he stuck with Molly-Mae in the end. I was kind of gutted to see Maura being left out of the recoupling though, so am glad that there was a twist which will mean she might be able to stay in the villa. Josie Ayre / BuzzFeed Hani: I’m gonna have to agree with Josie here – Maura completely stole the spotlight. When she leaves the villa she needs to start a YouTube channel giving flirting tips, because she knows exactly what she’s doing. She’s what the house has been missing, but I can’t help but feel like she’s veering dangerously close to the desperate side. As a ring girl, I’m pretty sure she was mainly going after Tommy because of the Fury name – she’s a bit transparent. That kiss attempt was hard to watch, she was totally taking advantage and I really felt for Tommy. She started out as a big favourite, but I think we’re all just second hand cringing for her now. I feel a little sorry for Elma for being such a side piece, because she seems nice. Molly-Mae and Tommy ITV2 Hani: I was living for Molly-Mae’s reaction to Maura’s arrival to the villa — I love a drama queen. She was so over the top! I get it though — Maura was putting it ON. The whole thing came as a huge shock because I really didn’t think she was that bothered about Tommy? Also, LOL at Tommy giving Maura Molly-Mae’s jacket — he’s so completely clueless! I have to say, despite her outburst, Molly-Mae’s grown on me. Maybe it’s because I’m not a Maura fan anymore (the tides change so quickly), but I like that we’ve seen more than one side of her. I’m happy that Tommy chose her, but I reckon her head is gonna be turned when the newbies enter the villa. Josie: Molly-Mae’s reaction to Maura coming into the villa was OTT. She immediately switched to defensive mode and saw Maura as a threat before she even became one, which seemed to strengthen Maura’s position. Like I said, I’m glad Tommy went for Molly-Mae in the end but, they are essentially the same person — they both easily have their heads turned — which is why I think they have so many issues. Every single person who comes into the villa was a new and shiny thing and they both want their hands on it first. I’m not the biggest fan of Anton but I screamed when he told Molly that she’d made her bed and now she needed to lie in it. Amy and Lucie s beef ITV2 Josie: Here is my assessment of Amy: she is a wolf in lamb’s clothing. She pretends she is all sweetness and light, and that air about her means that it takes longer for people to clock on that in reality she is a bit of a bully and is good at manipulating situations. I’ve seen it plenty of times before. I went to a Catholic girls’ school for god's sake! While I’m not Lucie’s biggest fan (tbh, this is just because she doesn’t give me the drama I want for Love Island), that doesn’t mean I want to see her being subjected to such mean girl behaviour. Amy needs to accept that Lucie just wants to have a chill time there and hang out with the boys and get on with it instead of trying to turn Lucie’s behaviour into something that it isn’t. Tap to play GIF Tap to play GIF ITV2 Hani: Amy’s the Regina George of the villa. She seemed really sweet and naive at the start, but I’m starting to see that she’s the ringleader of the mean girls. Like Josie, I’m also a former Catholic girls’ school attendee, so girls like Amy are easy to spot from a mile off. I’m no Lucie stan, but the way Amy was talking about her was so mean. Sure, Lucie probably could be less antisocial, but she shouldn’t have singled her out like that. She has Curtis and her girl gang wrapped around her finger, but for how long? If she keeps this up, I reckon Curtis will get sick of hearing her complaining about everything, but I don’t think the girls will clock onto her manipulative ways so easily. Joe ITV2 Josie: I said it before and I’ll say it again: Joe’s possessive behaviour is worrying and he needs to be told that. I want him out of the villa TBH. Hani: Joe’s behaviour is worrying. Is it a coincidence that he shares a name with the guy from You? I think not. I knew he was possessive, but him saying that he wouldn’t want Lucie to be friends with guys is a major red flag. The Recoupling Twist ITV2 Josie: THIS was the kind of recoupling that I love — there was a chaotic sense of uncertainty in the air. I was ready to wave goodbye to Anna and Maura before they received a text informing them about the two new boys who were waiting to romance them. THEN when it was announced that the remaining couples would be voting to put the weakest couples up to a public vote I was SCREAMING. I can’t wait to see who all the couples vote for tonight, my predictions are that Joe and Lucie and Tommy and Molly-Mae will be at risk of being sent to the public vote. If that is the case, soz Joe and Lucie but ya gots to go. Hani: Okay, so the first half of the recouping was dry AF. We all knew who everyone would pick. I'm glad that Amber and Michael are together, they're my faves. Did you see Amy’s face when Joe picked Lucie?! She was not happy to see Lucie securing a place. I feel sorry for Anna, and I find it weird that no one has mentioned Sherif’s name since his departure, so I’m happy she’s got a second chance with the twist. Like I said before, I don’t think Tommy and Molly-Mae will last, but Maura’s egos been bruised so I’m interested in seeing what happens next. I’m so excited to see how these new boys shake things up, especially as they’ve seen everything from the outside. I reckon Anton and Elma will be leaving the house if there’s a public vote – they’ve just kind of been lumped together. THINGS ARE FINALLY KICKING OFF!
