And when I say that, I don’t just mean it’ll be a year or so off, we’re talking multiple years until we get the next and final season. But we shouldn’t be too gutted, it taking so long to produce is why the end result is so good. And anyway, the cast of Stranger Things have already been cast in a bunch of their next roles, which will keep us occupied for a long time. From Netflix drama films, to creepy horror films – the cast of Stranger Things have a lot coming up next for them. Some are doing voiceover roles, others are directing things, and pretty much all of them have new acting projects in the pipeline. Here’s what you can catch them all in soon. Maya Hawke via Netflix Maya Hawke has a huge new project coming up, and I’m ready to become obsessed with every single second of it. She’s in Do Revenge on Netflix alongside Camila Mendes and it sees them team up to seek revenge on people who have wronged them. When Drea (played by Camila) meets Eleanor (Maya Hawke) and says she wants revenge on her ex, the two start their epic plotting together. The Netflix synopsis for the film reads: “A dethroned queen bee at a posh private high school strikes a secret deal with an unassuming new student to exact revenge on each other’s enemies.” Joe Keery via Netflix Joe Keery has just landed a major new role, joining the cast of Fargo. He will be in the fifth season of the FX anthology series, playing the role of Gator Tillman. The press release for season five, which is set in 2019, doesn’t give much away, it reads: “When is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours?” The show will be on FX in the US and Channel 4 in the UK. Episodes also become available on Netflix. Millie Bobby Brown via Netflix Next up for Millie Bobby Brown is returning to the title role in the second of Netflix’s Enola Homes movies. It’s already wrapped filming and will see Millie back playing the intuative sister of Sherlock Homes, alongside cast members such as Henry Cavill, Louis Partridge and Helena Bonham Carter. The film is expected on Netflix later this year, but doesn’t yet have a release date. The synopsis for the second film reads: “Now a detective-for-hire like her infamous brother, Enola Holmes takes on her first official case to find a missing girl, as the sparks of a dangerous conspiracy ignite a mystery that requires the help of friends — and Sherlock himself — to unravel.” Finn Wolfhard via Netflix Finn is making moves at the moment, as it’s just been announced he will feature in and co-direct a new horror film. The film, titled Hell of a Summer, sees Finn working alongside Billy Bryk to write, direct and both star in the feature. This is Finn’s directing debut! “I am so excited to be co-directing my first feature film,” he said in a statement. “I get the chance to work with an incredible cast and crew, and to work with a company like 30West and Aggregate is a real dream.” Finn will also be the voice of Candlewick in a new animated adaption of Pinocchio for Netflix, expected in December. He voices alongside actors such as Ewan McGregor and Cate Blanchett. Caleb McLaughlin via Netflix Caleb is sticking to Netflix, having recently been announced as part of the cast of a new horror film. The Deliverance has a pretty impressive cast of Netflix faces and is inspired by a true story. Struggling single mom Ebony Jackson moves her mother and children into a new home, hoping for a fresh start. The move is anything but a housewarming, however. When the family begins to experience demonic occurrences, Ebony finds herself in a spiritual battle between her faith, her life and the souls of her children — a battle that could have deadly consequences for all of them. There is no release date yet. Caleb is also playing the role of Dru Joyce III in a LeBron James biopic called Shooting Star. Dru Joyce III is James’ best friend and St. Vincent–St Mary High School teammate. Filming began in May, and the film is due out next year. Joseph Quinn via Netflix Eddie Munson isn’t dead, because Stranger Things cast member Joseph Quinn has another film coming up next. He’s soon to be staring in an indie drama film, called Hoard. The feature is set in the ’80s and ’90s and sees him playing a character called Michael. It’s distributed by BFI / BBC Films. Filming for the feature has already concluded, so watch this space! Sadie Sink via Netflix Sadie Sink will next be in a film called The Whale, expected next month. In the drama, a reclusive English teacher suffering from severe obesity attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption. Sadie plays a character called Ellie. Gaten Matarazzo Gaten has a few projects coming up where he is doing voice acting. He will provide a voice in a film called Hump, and another called My Father’s Dragon. Natalia Dyer via Netflix Up next for Stranger Things cast member Natalia Dyer is being part of a film called Chestnut, all about a queer love triangle. The synopsis reads: “A recent graduate [played by Natalia] becomes entangled in a relationship with a man and a woman during her summer after college.” She’s also set to be in a film alongside Sex Education star, Asa Butterfield! All Fun And Games sounds like a Squid Game-esque horror, following a group of siblings who are pulled into a kids’ game with a demonic twist. Stranger Things 4 is available on Netflix now.
