And what could be more relatable than Kate Middleton paying a visit to a local pub with some pals? According to reports, mum-of-three Kate attended Thomas’s Battersea’s ‘meet and greet’ drinks party at the Hollywood Arms in Chelsea recently, to get to know fellow parents at the school attended by Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Getty Images However, as life as the Duchess of Cambridge dictates, she’s not always able to simply walk in the front door as the rest of us might. Instead, it’s said that she used a secret entrance to the establishment that was originally created for brother-in-law Harry. ‘Using the doorway in a rear alley meant Kate could pass in and out without someone recording it on their smartphone,’ the Mail on Sunday‘s Talk of the Town column revealed, adding that Kate had just one protection officer with her at the event. Getty Images Apparently, Harry often frequented the pub in his single days, when it was a hotspot for Chelsea socialites. However, the reputation of the bar is now much more subdued, and Kate was ‘relaxed’ as she enjoyed a drink or two with the rest of the Thomas’s crowd. It’s likely not to have been the first time she’s socialised with the group – he and her husband are said to be regulars on the school run, dropping their two eldest children off at the gate with minimal fuss.
