YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Interiors Aldi’ s £35 electric heated throw blanket is back and it’ s the ultimate cosy companion By You Magazine - January 25, 2022 After a sellout success last winter, Aldi has done us all a favour and brought back their infinitely popular heated electric blanket for the ultimate cosy set up. Whether your desk is (still) your kitchen table or you’re spending more nights in than normal (so that’s all of us), blanket season has taken on a whole new level of importance during the pandemic. Yes, you could invest in some swanky expensive throws that cost as much as a new outfit, but why do that when you could get a £35 electric heated fleecy throw blanket? Getty Images Back by popular demand, Aldi’s heated electric blanket is back on the shelves in two gorgeous colours: light grey and cream. The double layer blanket is made from a super soft flannel fleece, making it the ultimate companion for chilly WFH days and nights in on the sofa. It can even be transformed into a sleeping bag, with pockets for your legs and feet to keep you extra toasty on the chilliest of winter days. Electric blankets went out of fashion for a while, partly because of the fire hazard horror stories, but they are now firmly back in style as one of the hottest (pardon the pun) homeware accessories for the winter season. For anyone who is still dubious about how safe electric blankets are, Aldi’s come with the automatic overheating protection that is standard of most modern electric blankets these days, which means if it gets too hot it will simply turn itself off. The Aldi electric heated blanket is available to pre-order online now for delivery from 27 January – but hurry, the light grey colourway has already sold out!
