YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Meghan Markle may end her maternity leave for this royal engagement By You Magazine - May 28, 2019 The Duchess of Sussex may be on maternity leave after giving birth to her adorable baby boy, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, but rumour has it that we will be seeing her back in the public eye lot sooner than expected. Meghan, who introduced Archie to the world alongside husband, Prince Harry, earlier this month, has been off duty from her royal engagements since the final stages of her pregnancy. However, much to the delight of her die-hard fans (us), it looks like she may be returning to work as early as next month. Getty Images Well, she may not be coming back officially, but it is believed that Meghan will make an appearance at Trooping the Colour, a military parade and RAF plane flyover in celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s ‘official’ birthday and one of the biggest annual events on the royal calendar. And let’s be honest, if there’s anyone worth cutting your maternity leave short for, it is of course Her Majesty. Rex Features Like previous years, the celebrations will see the royal family gather together on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, where they will watch the honorary ceremony and wave to the crowds that have come to celebrate with them. This year’s Trooping the Colour will take place on 8 June and will mark Meghan’s second time on the balcony if she does show up. She made her debut at the event last year just a few weeks after officially joining the royal family following her wedding to Prince Harry. Getty Images The royal family (and the Sussex Royal Instagram account) has yet to confirm Meghan’s attendance as she is still very early into her maternity leave with baby Archie being less than a month old. But we certainly have our fingers crossed. And while it is unlikely that baby Archie will join them on the balcony, we might have his christening pictures to look forward to as well!
