That's not all they do though - each one will also grant you an ability point the first time you rest at it. That makes hunting these special sites down a priority whenever you reach a new part of the world. There are even a couple locked behind quests, and one that is missable entirely. White Orchard Places of Power locations in The Witcher 3 Aard location North of the Igni place of power next to a monster nest. Be aware that it may be swarming with monsters as a result, so be ready for a fight, and consider crafting a bomb to destroy the nest too. Axii location To the west of the Mill marker over the river. It's fairly near the Herbalist's Hut, so when you're heading over to see them, consider making the trip then. Igni location Found in the northern region of White Orchard in front of a mausoleum guarded by a wraith. The wraith is unkillable unless you go inside the mausoleum, so do that first. There are also a few key items inside, including a weapon diagram. Quen location South of the Griffin Nest you find during The Beast of White Orchard Quest. You'll see it nestled between a few trees. Quen location 2 Found in the northeast of the map near a battlefield and just south of a Ghoul nest. Once again, be ready for a fight, and bring a bomb to destroy the nest while you're here. Yrden location East of the Abandoned Village and guarded by a bear within a small forest region. The Place of Power itself is on the northhand side of the small gathering of trees. Velen Places of Power locations in The Witcher 3 Aard location In the south of the region below the haunted village of Frischlow. It's one of the further points south that you'll ever go and is occasionally surrounded by wraiths. Igni location Right next to the cave that hides the Tree Spirit in the Whispering Hillock quest. It will be guarded by a Werewolf, so get ready for a tough fight. Quen location In the northwest of the region below a lighthouse that has its drawbridge raised. Carefully make your way down the cliffs to get to it. Yrden location Inaccessible until you've finished the Wandering in the Dark mission. At the end of the mission you'll have the chance to do the Magic Lamp quest, do so and go left up a small path in the caves to find the Place of power. Yrden location 2 Atop a hill northeast of Downwarren, you'll need to climb up some ledges to actually get to it. So follow the map and keep your eyes up to spot it. Quen - Bald Mountain location Only accessible once you're doing the Bald Mountain quest. Once you've made it past the gates you'll play as Ciri for a bit. Once you're in control of Geralt again you'll go across a small bridge, it is just to your left after the bridge. Novigrad Places of Power locations in The Witcher 3 Axii location Head north of the Vegelbud Residence until you reach the place where the road splits. The Place of Power is on top of a small hill just north of the split. Igni location Head to the northern section of Novigrad, Temple Island. The Place of Power can be seen at the tip of a cliff. Skellige Places of Power locations in The Witcher 3 Aard location To the northeast of the Druid's camp is a small set of ruins. There is a cyclops here guarding the area, but if you duck into the building you'll find the Place of power near the diagrams for the Mastercrafter Griffin armour diagrams. Axii location Simply turn around when you reach Skellige and you'll spot this one on a submerged bit of land. Be aware that there are lots of Harpys in the area. Axii location 2 South of Fornhala, follow the mountain path along and you'll be able to see it on your left about halfway along, just jump over to it and you can claim it. Igni location Go to Svorlag and head up the trail to the top of a small mountain. You'll find the Place of Power at the top of the trail. Quen location Found at the end of the Yngvar's Fang trail. It requires a fair bit of jumping and involves some annoying harpy fights too. Quen location 2 This can only be accessed if you choose to help Cerys after defeating the bears in Kaer Trolde, you'll come across it as you make your way through the cellars of the castle. Yrden location Right next to the Druid's Camp west of Blandare. You'll be sent here as part of the main quest, so feel free to wait until that's the case if you don't like running around. Yrden location 2 Head west from Harviken along the roads and you'll reach a place where the road splits for the second time. Head north at this point and you'll come to the Place of power. Igni - Sunstone location Found within the Ancient Crypt. You can only enter when you're looking for the Sunstone as part of the Battle Preparation quest near the end of the game. Turn right once you hit the main cavern and are assaulted by some drowners. Kaer Morhen Places of Power locations in The Witcher 3 Igni location You can find this Place of Power when you're adventuring with Lambert as part of the Ugly Baby missions. It is atop a cliff that is only accessible once you've made your way through the cave that houses Old Speartip. Through Time and Space Places of Power locations in The Witcher 3 Aard location This mission has you going through different worlds. The second one is a strange forest area with a poisonous fog on the ground. You can see the Place of power as the cutscene shows you where the next portal is, just climb up to it on your way there. Toussaint Places of Power locations in The Witcher 3 Aard location Found on the southern edge of a lake in the south of Toussaint. Just to the west of the Hortense Vineyard. Axii location Northeast of the Rioux-Cannes Outpost in the western part of the map, you'll find a cave where a man named Hugo has gone missing. The cave is filled with monsters, but you can find the Place of Power within it as you go. Igni location Just south of the Fort Ussar Ruins where two Slyzards live. There are a few armour and weapon diagrams around here, so make sure to clear the place out before leaving. Quen location Underneath the Termes Palace Ruins, you'll find an area to drop into which contains the Place of Power. Yrden location In the northernmost point of the map near the Arthach Palace Ruins. This one is defended by a high-level Wight.
