The option was added as part of title update 3.1, which is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The option comes following a controversial purge from streaming platform Twitch, which is deleting videos in response to pressure from the music industry. Streamers have been forced to clean house, erasing their work that in some cases amounts to years of content. It is INSANE that @Twitch informs partners they deleted their content - and that there is more content in violation despite having NO identification system to find out what it is. Their solution to DMCA is for creators to delete their life's work. This is pure, gross negligence. pic.twitter.com/mhdXU5lEc5- Devin (@DevinNash) October 20, 2020 To see this content please enable targeting cookies. Because of this, streaming the game with the music on runs the very real risk of a DMCA takedown. While FIFA 21, and previous games in the series, have let players turn off the music in certain parts of the game via settings, this new option is a catch all toggle that offers peace of mind to streamers. Watch on YouTube Personally, I play FIFA 21 with the volume lowered to zero (I'm not a fan of the music or commentary), which leaves me free to listen to other things at the same time. I think I'll make use of this new setting even though I'm not streaming the game.
