A range of electric-type Pokémon can be found more frequently in the wild, alongside Pokémon like Trubbish who like to live near Power Plants in the Pokémon universe. You can also collect event-exclusive field research tasks and enjoy some Team Go Rocket bonuses during the Power Plant event. Power Plant field research tasks in Poké mon Go During the Power Plant event in Pokémon Go, you'll be able to collect a selection of exclusive field research tasks from spinning PokéStops. You can save these tasks and complete them once the event ends if you so wish. Here are the Power Plant field research tasks and their rewards: Catch 5 Electric-type Pokémon reward - Electrike, Joltik or Helioptile encounter Make 3 Curveball Throws reward - Magnemite or Voltorb encounter Walk 1km reward - Helioptile encounter Walk 2km reward - Trubbish and Alolan Grimer encounter Walk 4km reward - Emolga reward Take a snapshot of a wild Electric-type Pokémon reward - 25 Mega Ampharos or Manectric Energy Defeat 2 Team Go Rocket Grunts reward - Ekans, Skorupi or Croagunk encounter * * Introduced following the Team Go Rocket part of the event on Monday, 24th January 2022. Power Plant spawns and event bonuses in Poké mon Go The main draw of the Power Plant event is the release of Helioptile and Heliolisk into Pokémon Go. These electric and normal-type Pokémon hail from the Kalos region, which makes them part of Gen 6. Helioptile will be appearing in the wild, alongside the following Pokémon: Magnemite Grimer Voltorb Electrode Electabuzz Jolteon Porygon Trubbish Grimer, Voltorb and Helioptile are appearing more frequently in the wild. Electric and steel-type Pokémon have also invaded one-star raids, with Pikachu, Beldum, Shinx, Blitzle and Klink all being available for battle. Both the three and five-star raid pools will change at 10am (local time) on Monday, 24th January, with Regice becoming available in five-star raids. Meanwhile, in three-star raids, you'll be able to battle Dewgong, Piloswine, Monferno and Druddigon. Finally, from Monday, 24th January at 12am (local time), Team Go Rocket will also be pushing their evil agenda once again. They will start invading PokéStops and their balloons will be flying through the sky more frequently. You can also use a Charged TM on a Shadow Pokémon to help it forget Frustration. Team Go Rocket may have more plans… Currently live is the Evolving Stars event, which includes the release of quest steps 5 to 8 of A Cosmic Companion - the Season of Light special research quest. Elsewhere, be sure to use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance of encountering Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres. There's also a new special research quest - A Mysterious Incense. Finally - don't forget about the new Prime Gaming rewards every fortnight. Power Plant date and times in Poké mon Go The Power Plant event in Pokémon Go is running from Wednesday, 19th January to Tuesday, 1st February at 10am (local time). Remember - Team Go Rocket is up to no good during this event from Monday, 24th January at 12am (local time).
