Perfect Dark Dev Gives Update Following Crystal Dynamics Acquisition 3 May 2022 by Richard Breslin Perfect Dark developer ‘The Initiative’ has provided an update on the status of the game following the recent Crystal Dynamics acquisition. Over the weekend, THQ Nordic parent company Embracer Group acquired many of Square Enix’s western studios. The acquisition included current Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics. However, while the game had generated a lot of excitement since its announcement, there have been reports of a troubling development.ADVERT ADVERT Is Perfect Dark in trouble Reports were making the rounds that not only had Perfect Dark lost its Director, but it had also lost around half of its core development team. Furthermore, Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics were brought in to lend a helping hand to The Initiative. So, following the acquisition by Embracer Group, some had been wondering how this might impact the development of Perfect Dark.
