Comedian Kevin Hart Injured Following Plymouth Barracuda Crash

Sep. 02, 2019 4:24 AM ET by Jay Traugott / 21 Comments It's a miracle he survived. Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is a known muscle car fan. A 1970 Plymouth Barracuda is just one of his many cars. Unfortunately, that specific car is no more. According to TMZ, Hart has been injured following a crash in the vintage muscle car while driving in the hills above Malibu, California. Hart was actually the passenger at the time of the crash, which involved the car rolling off Mulholland Drive and going down an embankment at around 12:45 am Sunday morning. The driver, 28-year old Jared Black, like Hart, suffered "major back injuries." A third passenger, 31-year old Rebecca Broxterman, suffered only minor injuries. The California Highway Patrol's report states the car lost control as it turned from a canyon road on to the highway. Although it's hard to clearly see from the video, the Barracuda's roof was completely crushed as a result of the impact. According to a witness, Hart was the first to crawl out of the crushed car. Someone from his personal security team quickly arrived in an SUV and took him back to his home nearby. Although he originally went home "to get medical attention," he ended up going to a hospital anyway for further treatment. The good news is that no one was killed, but back injuries are anything but minor. The symptoms can affect individuals in various ways for the rest of their lives. Many live with chronic pain. It also looks like the Plymouth Barracuda has been totaled. SpeedKore SpeedKore SpeedKore
