The Lamborghini Aventador SV Jota Sounds Pretty Incredible

Our spy photographers just very recently snapped images of the upcoming Lamborghini Aventador SV Jota (or SVJ?) testing at both the Nurburgring and on normal everyday streets. Despite being covered in some camouflage, the test mule does little to hide some additional components, such as a new rear wing and other aero bits like larger scoops, vents, and front and rear lips. All in all, this is going to be one hell of a way to say goodbye to the aging Aventador, but we were still left with one question: What does it sound like? Thanks to YouTuber Automotive Mike, we have an answer. This is likely the very same prototype from our previous 'Ring spy shots, only it's been captured on video with some wonderful V12 audio. While the first minute or so of the video shows the Lamborghini driving fairly slowly around the track, it's the second half that'll find to be more enjoyable. From what we've been able to gather, the Aventador SV Jota, which stands for Super Veloce Jota, will come powered by the familiar 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, though it's reworked to provide around 40-50 hp more than the current Aventador SV, so figure somewhere in the neighborhood of 780 hp. Other expected standard features will include rear-wheel steering, a new rear diffuser, new wheels, and various other SVJ touches. Given the predicted Geneva debut didn't happen, our best guess now is for the full reveal to take place in Paris in October. Fingers crossed.
