Google Exec Takes Delivery Of Bespoke Rolls-Royce Dawn At Pebble Beach

This year's Pebble Beach featured some truly memorable new car reveals such as world debut of the Bugatti Divo, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, and the all-new BMW Z4. Rolls-Royce also showcased several new bespoke Black Badge models, one of which was delivered to the Vice President of Engineering at Google, Benjamin Treynor Sloss, who is also a well-known car enthusiast. The bespoke Rolls-Royce Dawn Black Badge was presented to Sloss by the automaker's CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös at the brand's Collectors Cocktail Reception. Rolls-Royce The Google Executive worked closely with the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective in Goodwood to personalize the luxury convertible with a unique color scheme reflecting the livery on racing cars owned by him and his wife, which includes a Ferrari FXX-K. To realize his vision, Rolls-Royce reinterpreted the color scheme into the Dawn's design language by producing two new bespoke paint colors for the exterior. "Our racing cars carry the colors of the flag of Modena in Northern Italy," said Sloss. "I wanted to see what Rolls-Royce could do with those same colors. The first time I saw the livery the Rolls-Royce team had created for the Dawn, I burst out with 'Oh my God, that's unreal – I love it!!' It's outrageous, it's over the top... it's perfect. I still grin every time I see it." The intense deep yellow adorning the bodywork has been named 'Superflare' "due to its radiance under the California sun." Contrasting the yellow finish are dark navy blues named Pikes Peak as a nod to Sloss's interest in timed hill climbs. The one-off Rolls-Royce Dawn Black Badge also rides on a set of 21-inch carbon fiber and aluminium wheels featuring flashes of the exterior's Superflare Yellow paint. Inside, the eye-catching color scheme carries over with the seats, dashboard, tonneau cover and rear seat waterfall clad in Navy Blue leathers, complemented with Bright Yellow seat piping and stitched RR headrest logos. An infinity logo has also been added between the rear seats, which is unique to Black Badge models. Rolls-Royce The yellow theme continues in the cabin with a yellow flash along the door interiors, two-tone Navy Blue and Bright Yellow steering wheel and an exclusively developed Bright Yellow pinstripe applied to the Piano Milori Blue wood dashboard. A Navy Blue leather-clad Aero Cowling also encloses the rear seats. This isn't the first Rolls-Royce Dawn the couple has owned, however, as Sloss's wife uses another Dawn as her daily driver, which has clocked up over 13,000 miles. Rolls-Royce
