Rezvani Cooking Up Six-Wheel-Drive Off-Roader

Jun. 17, 2020 10:31 AM ET by Aaron Brzozowski Tuning / 5 Comments This looks promising... We might stop short of saying that six-wheeled off-roaders are "all the rage" these days, but it's hard to deny that ever since the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6, rugged six-wheelers have become more of a thing. Hennessey Performance Engineering offers several different 6x6 models, including models based on the Ford F-150 Raptor and Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Now, California-based auto company Rezvani Motors is looking to join the fray, announcing a new "Hercules 6x6" it's cooking up for a hardcore off-roading market hungry for more 6x6 options. The new three-axle, go-anywhere Hercules was announced via Facebook, alongside a couple of titillating teaser images.

One photo is a closeup of the dual rear axles, cropped tightly so as to avoid giving anything away, while the other drenches the entire vehicle in shadow, obscuring all the most relevant details. We tried lighting up the darker regions in the hopes of catching a glimpse of something interesting, but the only thing it uncovered was a taunting message from Rezvani: "nice try". Well played. That said, from what we are able to see, the front end of the Hercules 6x6 is quite similar in appearance to the Rezvani Tank - a military-inspired, Jeep Wrangler-based bruiser that launched last year.
Rezvani Motors Rezvani Motors Rezvani Motors The Rezvani Tank is a thoroughly impressive machine, by default drawing on a 500-horsepower, 6.4L Hemi V8 and high-performance Fox suspension components, all draped in an angular, aggressive-looking body fit for Batman's next whip. If the Hercules 6x6 is cast from a similar mold, we're in for an excellent surprise when the six-wheeled off-roader bows later this summer. Pricing for the Hercules 6x6 still isn't known, but for reference, the Rezvani Tank starts at more than $150,000, and Hennessey's six-wheeled Chevy Silverado-based Goliath 6x6 starts at $375,000, so it definitely won't come cheap. The best vehicles seldom do.
