Ford Will Fill Up Your Mustang Mach-E For Free

Jun. 15, 2020 4:35 PM ET by Jared Rosenholtz Electric Vehicles / 11 Comments Forget a tank of gas, Mach-E customers get much more. Whenever you buy a new vehicle, it is customary for the dealership to throw in a full tank of gasoline but customers who have ordered a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E will receive even more. US Mach-E customers will receive 250 kilowatt-hours of complimentary charging from Electrify America through FordPass Rewards. This is the equivalent of three to five full DC fast charges yielding anywhere from 230 to 300 miles of driving range depending on the exact model. The FordPass Charging Network has 3,500 charging stations with nearly 40,000 individual plugs. Using one of Electrify America's DC fast chargers, a Mach-E can add up to 61 miles of range in as little as 10 minutes. These chargers can also bring the vehicles from 10 percent battery to 80 percent in just 45 minutes.
Ford Ford Up to five free chargers is a nice incentive towards purchasing an electric vehicle. "One of the main opportunities we have is educating our potential customers about road trip readiness," said Matt Stover, Ford director of charging, energy services, and business development. "The 250 kilowatt-hours of complimentary charging we're offering through FordPass Rewards and the FordPass Charging Network with Electrify America will give our Mustang Mach-E customers confidence in their ability to plan trips, no matter their destination." In addition to public charging options, Amazon Home Services will begin installations of Ford Connected Charge Stations and 240-volt outlets for home charging. Ford Ford Ford The Ford Connected Charge Station wallbox starts at $799 and can be purchased through dealers or online with any Mach-E. Ford has still not made any mention of the 'Fastor Charge' name, which it has trademarked for use in the US. This name could be referring to either a public charging network or an at-home solution but so far, the company has been sticking with the FordPass and Ford Connected Charge names. Ford Ford
