Not satisfied with the factory white exterior paint, adanomyte is refinishing it in a two-tone light-and-dark gray scheme with a copper pinstripe, making it look like a relic from another time. An Instagram post from late-August shows just what that paint job looks like after two clear coats - gloss finish over most of the body, but with a satin finish for the door jambs. We decided to go with satan jambs and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.. Aug. 25, 2020 9:40 AM ET by Aaron Brzozowski Trucks / 22 Comments You know the old saying: "If GM won't build it, make it yourself." Or something. If you're in the market for a new "shorty" pickup truck - that is, a regular cab model with a short bed - good luck; they're a dying breed, and GMC, for one, did away with the uniquely limited-use configuration in 2018. That didn't sit well with one GMC truck fan - a man known on Instagram as "adanomyte" - so he went ahead and built his own from a brand new 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Regular Cab with a standard long bed. After a good deal of frame-cutting and some other modifications, including a set of drop spindles to give the truck a more aggressive stance, the result is a polished, singularly special short-cab, short-bed half-ton truck that looks like it could have rolled right off the assembly line as it is.adanomyte/Instagram adanomyte/Instagram View this post on Instagram Shortbed conversion complete!!
