2021 Ram Heavy Duty Trucks Arrive With New Limited Night Edition

Sep. 03, 2020 5:16 PM ET by Jay Traugott Trucks / 4 Comments Towing and payload capacities remain highly impressive. Sometimes a half-ton pickup truck just won't do the trick. Fortunately, there are even bigger and more powerful options available from Detroit's big three automakers. For 2021, Ram has just announced its HD truck lineup, and while the 2021 Ram 2500 and 3500 return unchanged for the new model year, there is a new limited edition model. Dubbed the Limited Night Edition, it boasts a monochromatic design that's further enhanced by 20-inch black wheels, grille, and badging. Ram says this package will be available on all HD models in several different body colors. Ram Ram Ram Ram As for the rest of the lineup, a total of seven trims are on offer: Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, Power Wagon, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. Both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations remain, as well as Regular and Crew Cabs. The Mega Bed, however, is for 4x4 variants only. The one and only Power Wagon comes powered by the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. The optional engine is a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel available in two outputs, 370 hp and 850 lb-ft, or 400 hp and 1,000 lb-ft, the latter being for the 3500 HD only. Those who require serious capabilities should look no further than the Ram 3500. It has up to 35,100 pounds of towing and 7,680 pounds of payload. The Ram 2500, meanwhile, has a maximum towing capacity of 19,780 pounds. Ram Ram Ram Ram Ram also points out that, once again, its HD trucks offer the best in segment ride and handling thanks to link coil rear and auto-level air suspensions. Looking for luxury? The Ram HD Limited comes with real wood interior trim, leather upholstery, and a 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen. Interestingly, pricing for the 2021 model year has not yet been announced, though it's not expected to differ much than last year. The Limited Night Edition will surely add to the final cost, but for some buyers, the added style will be worth it. Ram Ram Ram Ram
