Amazon Luna launched almost a year ago, and since then, Team Luna has introduced several new features and channels. The latest announcements include a series of new channels, new games to play, and a completely new mode called Luna Couch. Amazon Of course, getting new titles on cloud gaming services is always nice, and the latest additions to Luna include Mega Man 11 and Smite. The biggest announcements coming out on Thursday, though, include the introduction of the Family Channel, which includes 35 games appropriate for all ages. These games include titles like Garfield Kart — Furious Racing, Space Otter Charlie, and Transformers: Battlegrounds, as well as SkateBIRD, which is set to arrive later this month. The other big addition to Luna this month includes Luna Couch, which gives players the ability to enjoy games with others via local cooperative gameplay, as well as multiplayer games. Users joining you on Luna Couch won’t need to have an active Luna account, nor will you need to be physically located together, according to Amazon. So, in theory, you can play with a buddy across the country via Amazon Luna, even if they don't have an account. It sounds like Amazon plans to launch the new Family channel as well as the couch mode today, though it may be available at different times depending on your time zone. Amazon is also offering a free play period for Amazon Prime members in the mainland US starting on September 9 and ending on September 15. Prime members can play four games on Luna for free, like Resident Evil 7, Metro Exodus, and two others. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
