How to Create a PlayStation Account on a Computer

PlayStation Network (PSN) is a digital entertainment service for your PlayStation. With a PSN account, you can download games to play and streaming apps to watch TV and movies. Here's how to create an account on your PC: Open a browser on your computer and go to the Sony Entertainment Network Create a New Account page. Enter your personal details, such as your email address, birth date, and location information, and then choose a password. Select I Agree. Create My Account. When creating your PSN Online ID, it can't be changed in the future. It's forever linked to the email address you used to build the PSN account. Verify your email address with the link provided in the email that Sony sends you after you complete the previous step. Go back to the Sony Entertainment Network website and select Continue. Select the Update Account image on the next page. Choose the Online ID that others will see when you play online games. Select Continue. Finish updating your PlayStation Network account with your name, security questions, location information, and optional billing information, pressing Continue after each screen. Select Finish when you're done filling out your PSN account details. You should see a message that reads Your account is now ready to access PlayStation Network. Although you can sign up for a PSN account directly on the PS5 and PS4, you can't sign up on older equipment such as the PS3, PS Vita, or PlayStation TV. If you use one of these devices, go to the Sony Create New PSN Account page in a computer browser to sign up for an account.

How to Create a PSN Account on a PS5

If you already have a PSN account on your PS4, you can log in using the same account on your PS5 console. If you don't already have an account, you can create a new one on the PS5. Here's how:
Go to the Home screen and select Add User.
Select Get Started and agree to the Terms of Use. Select Create an Account. Fill out the required information and verify your email address. The next time you sign in, use your email address (sign-in ID) and password. You can also sign in on the PlayStation App.

Select Create a User and then accept the user agreement. Select Next under the PlayStation Network area. Instead of logging in to PSN, Select New to PSN? Create an Account. Select Sign Up Now. You can change this at any time in the future. On the Create your PSN Profile screen, enter the username you want to be identified as to other gamers. Also, fill out your name but remember that it'll be public. The next screen gives you the option to automatically fill in your profile picture and name with your Facebook information. You also have the option to not display your full name and picture while playing online games. The next few screens let you set your privacy settings. You can pick Anyone, Friends of Friends, Friends Only, or No One for each specific activity. Select Accept on the final setup page to accept the terms of service and user agreement. That's it!
