This year is the first time TikTok has surpassed YouTube, which comes in second at 45.6 minutes per day.  At 34.8 minutes, the platform on which US social media users spend the third most amount of time is Twitter. This is followed by Snapchat, with users spending an average of 30.4 minutes a day on the platform. Facebook and Instagram, both owned by Meta, come in fifth and sixth at just over half an hour (30.1 minutes), and Reddit rounds out the six platforms US social media users spend the most time on per day at 23.8 minutes.
