The 84-year-old majority shareholder said on Thursday that he will retire from his role at the head of the media giant, leaving the company in the hands of his son James, a sign that the Murdoch family is preparing to let the next generation take over. Despite being owned by the Australian-American tycoon, it's become a longstanding tradition for Fox-owned The Simpsons to poke fun at Murdoch and all the other stuff he owns.
