Whimsy alert A Minion balloon had its own night at the museum
Indy100 StaffJun 16, 2015 This is what happens when life imitates art. A Minion-shaped helium balloon (of Despicable Me fame) got trapped in the Round Room in the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, but as it made its gradual descent to earth, it seemed to want to look at as many galleries and exhibits as possible first. The museum's security team passed on the CCTV footage to the press department, who put together this rather lovely video, complete with musical accompaniment. As some regular visitors to BMAG might know we have for some time had a minion balloon stuck on the ceiling of the Round Room and have been waiting for it to come down of its own accord. It has finally done so - just as the security team were locking up for the night. It was caught on security cameras so apologies for the fuzzy footage, but we just loved the way it seemed to fly around so had to share!Posted by Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (UK) on Monday, 15 June 2015Minions "We don't think the Minions even know this happened," they told i100.co.uk.
