Woman proposes to her girlfriend just seconds after Ireland' s Yes vote

Evan BartlettMay 24, 2015 Following Ireland's historic vote to legalise same-sex marriage on Saturday, one woman wasted absolutely no time in proposing to her girlfriend. Just seconds after it was announced that Ireland had become the first country in the world to legalise equal marriage by means of a popular vote, Billie got down on one knee in front of girlfriend Kate Stoica and popped the question at the University Sports Arena in Limerick. The 41-year-old, who doesn't use a surname, was quoted by the Irish Examiner as saying: "Kate we make a great team. I love you inside and out, head to toe I don't want to waste another minute of my life without you as my wife."
