He's crying because he's just been sentenced to 18 years in prison for running a revenge porn website and charging victims, mostly women, to have their photos and contact details removed. The 29-year-old, from San Diego, burst into tears as he heard testimony from his own mother and his victims after a landmark case. One told the court: "It ruined my life and I'm still going through it. I lost my family. They think that I brought shame on them. My reputation is ruined." Another said: "It's just broken me on a level that's not describable. The only thing I have left is shame and anger." The court also heard a woman say: "If someone looks at me? Are they remembering me?" Bollaert is thought to have posted 10,000 explicit images between December 2012 and September 2013 submitted by ex-partners to embarrass victims for revenge. He charged up to $350 (£234) for them to be removed, making around $30,000 (£24,000). Bollaert, who could be eligible for parole after ten years, must also pay $10,000 (£6,700) in restitution.
