Jay Z thought it would be a good idea to tweet facts about Tidal but he was seriously mistaken
Dina RickmanApr 27, 2015 Jay Z has taken to Twitter to defend his streaming service Tidal amid reports it is floundering. Despite its star-studded launch at the end of March the app is now not even in the top 700 iTunes downloads in America - but according to Jay Z, "the iTunes store wasn't built in a day". In a series of tweets, many under the hashtag "#tidalfacts", he said the service's detractors were running a "smear campaign". Tidal is doing just fine. We have over 770,000 subs. We have been in business less than one month. The iTunes Store wasn't built in a day. It took Spotify 9 years to be successful. We are here for the long haul. Please give us a chance to grow & get better. He added: "We are human (even Daft Punk ha). We aren't perfect - but we are determined. #TidalFacts." Obviously, the internet responded by immediately taking the piss.Congratulations to everyone involved. More: Tidal is a huge flop (sorry, Jay Z)Keep reading...Show less
