Labour' s pink bus tour is turning into a bit of a van crash

So said Harriet Harman in response to criticism of Labour's "patronising" pink van to the Huffington Post, shortly before embarking on a tour of the UK to attract women voters. The party's 'woman to woman' campaign will visit 70 key constituencies in a bid to woo the nine million females who did not vote in the last general election. Its first stop was at the Stevenage branch of Asda - but if this Vine of the van parked on a zebra crossing is anything to go by, the tour did not get off to a good start. Predictably and depressingly, it has led to a floor of jokes about women drivers. As well as bad parking, Harman has been confronted with a disgruntled voter who asked why she was not speaking to men. Here he is again... As for the eternal question of "what about the men"?
