Rumours of Page 3' s demise have been greatly exaggerated

Dina RickmanJan 22, 2015 The Sun thanked us for the mammaries. Its sister paper The Times (£) announced Page 3 had covered up and would no longer feature topless women, instead retreating online. But tellingly, they never confirmed it. Now it looks like rumours of Page 3's death have been greatly exaggerated. This morning, under the headline 'corrections and clarifications' the paper carries a picture of a topless and winking Nicole, 22, with this caption: As The Times, which like The Sun is owned by News UK, notes it is unclear whether this is a return to a topless Page 3 or just a "flash in the pan". But the picture did spark a furious response from campaigners No More Page 3, who said the fight was "back on". They added: "While we wait to see if this is just a one-off, we can be in no doubt our campaign is causing quite a stir in The Sun's offices!" Meanwhile The Sun's head of press, Dylan Sharp, had this message for reporters on the story and Page 3 arch-critic Harriet Harman: More: This is what Page 3 models have to say about the end of Page 3
