Apparently this is how our state broadcaster wants the world to view the UK

Dina RickmanJan 29, 2015 A 10m-tall effigy of Top Gear's the Stig has been erected next to the Palace of Science and Culture in Warsaw as part of a stunt to mark the launch of BBC Brit, a new channel from BBC Worldwide which is coming to Poland first. And there are pictures. The real Stig came along for the ride, although he was characteristically tight-lipped about the experience. The statue, which took a team of three sculptors more than two months to design and construct, was driven to Poland after a three-day journey across Europe which began at Top Gear headquarters. It will remain up in Warsaw until Saturday before being moved to an undisclosed location. Tim Davie, CEO of BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, said: Erecting a giant Stig in Warsaw is a fitting way to launch our new global brand BBC Brit. The channel will be the exclusive home of brand new Top Gear, the world’s most popular shows. For the very first time from launch, BBC Brit will bring Polish viewers closer to the action than ever before, with premiere episodes airing on the channel the same day as the UK. The stunt was brought to us on behalf of the BBC by PR firm Taylor Herring, the same people who put a polar bear on the tube. Rule Britannia!
