Ched Evans' rape victim has had to ' move home five times'

Evan BartlettDec 28, 2014 The woman who was raped by footballer Ched Evans has reportedly had to move home and change her name five times after her identity has been revealed online. Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, the woman's father said she had to move again shortly before Christmas and is effectively living her life "on the run" because internet trolls appear determined to discredit her. I couldn't even see her over Christmas because it's too risky for her to visit me. The last time I saw her was almost a year ago, and it’s been hard not having her at home over Christmas. I just want her near me so I can protect her.Victim's father Evans was imprisoned in April 2012 for raping the 19-year-old, who was deemed too drunk to have consented to sex - Evans' website continues to protest his innocence. Despite the victim being given total anonymity by law, as with all sexual assault cases, her father says the Attorney General and police have not taken effective action to protect her. I don’t think the police are doing their job if she’s having to move five times in under three years. Ched Evans is able to lead a normal life. He has never apologised to my daughter. Instead, his website proclaims his innocence and draws attention to my daughter every day that it remains posted on the net. I think it should be taken down.Victim's fatherKeep reading...Show less
