I Explored The Remains Of An Abandoned Mansion Filled With American History
31Kviews Bryan Sansivero
Community member I've photographed many abandoned houses in my career. However, none have been filled with as much American history as this one. The house and a lot of its belongings date back to at least the 19th century. The owner was a prominent government official and known nationally and was a well-respected man in the town. Take a look inside to see what was forgotten and left behind. More info: Instagram bryansansivero.com

There are what appear to be clean sheets on the bed and there’s not a speck of dust or a spider web in sight. I don’t think it’s abandoned at all. 9 9points reply surprised pikachu surprised pikachu Community Member • points posts comments upvotes FollowUnfollow 1 year ago someone's probably been taking care of it. 1 1point reply similarly similarly Community Member • points posts comments upvotes FollowUnfollow 1 month ago My guess is the house isn't abandoned. Someone owns it obviously, and obviously there must be security, as it still has all its windows. It's simply that no one lives there. 0 0points reply Pam Akers Pam Akers Community Member • points posts comments upvotes FollowUnfollow 1 month ago Yep. 0 0points reply Craig Wagner Craig Wagner Community Member • points posts comments upvotes FollowUnfollow 2 years ago I was thinking much the same thing. How is it that vandals haven't come in and made off with everything that isn't nailed down. Something about this story seems awfully fishy to me. 7 7points reply Deb Johnston Deb Johnston Community Member • points posts comments upvotes FollowUnfollow 1 month ago Yes, I call BS. These are obviously staged photos. Legal issues. Or as Daria said tragedies in general. I've watched a lot of videos about abandoned places, and some houses just seem to be forgotten after the owner passes. Maybe a rift in the family, or the person who inherits the property lives too far away and can't afford to come back. So the property just sits. Vacant. I did see one abandoned house- so full of stuff- that had only been vacant a few years because the parents were arrested. House was put on the market but was disgusting- they'd been arrested for animal cruelty, so many sick animals in the house- so there were no takers. Yeah the animals were gone- but I'm guessing the smell wasn't. 3 3points reply Load More Comments POST Sadie Jayne Sadie Jayne Community Member • points posts comments upvotes FollowUnfollow 2 years ago It is times like this when I wish I was "filthy rich" and could buy this house and restore it, the furniture and even the photographs!
