New Moon Girl Series Includes Super Team Ups

These one-shots will see the super-duo travel through the Marvel Universe, saving the day. As they do so, they will team up with some of Marvel’s mightiest heroes. The series will see Moon Girl, aka Lunella Lafayette, fight alongside the X-Men, the Avengers, etc. Did You Say Dinosaur
Lunella Lafayette is a brilliant young girl whose daydreams and inventions earned her the nickname “Moon Girl.” Through an obsession with the Kree, Lunella crafted a device that was meant to uncover Kree technology. This led her to the Omni-Wave Projector, which opened a portal to Dinosaur World. Here, Lunella met and befriended her prehistoric partner, Devil Dinosaur. After undergoing Terrigenesis, Lunella developed the ability to swap her consciousness with that of Devil Dinosaur. In her new dinosaur body, Lunella gains the physical strength of the beast. Not to mention she can use her intelligence to make her dinosaur body talk. Now, the two work together to stop cosmic threats to Earth. When Will This New Moon Girl Series Kick-Off
This new Moon Girl series will kick off with Miles Morales and Moon Girl #1. Written by Mohale Mashigo with art from Ig Guara, this first super team-up drops on June 1. While there is no information on what will take place in the issue, Mashigo shared how exciting this all is. Speaking to Marvel, Mashigo said, “writing Moon Girl is a dream come true.” They continued by saying, “Lunella is fun, quirky, smart, and full of energy. I’ve enjoyed seeing her get out of her comfort zone and shine even brighter.” Of course, these one-shots are leading up to Moon Girl’s solo series later this year. That series will be an animated show on Disney. As such, these comics will help cement Moon Girl as a hero within the Marvel Universe.
