Elden Ring How to Fix Invisible Enemies
Posted By: Shawn Robinsonon: February 25, 2022In: Features, Gaming, PC, PS4, Xbox OneTags: EldenRing, Guide Print Email Elden Ring has just released last night on multiple platforms, letting fans of From Software’s iconic soulslike formula sink their teeth in yet another incredibly polished release. With so many different locations to explore and enemies to face, you’re sure to spend a boatload of time in the game’s world. That is until you encounter invisible enemies on your adventure. As much as From Software is quite a fan of trolling its players, this bug may sometimes be unintentional. So, how do you fix it, you may ask? Well in this guide, we’ll explain how to fix invisible enemies in Elden Ring! How to Fix Invisible Enemies in Elden Ring
Before we begin, it’s important to note that there is one type of enemy where this effect is intentional. A specific type of scarab, which the tutorial fails to mention, can be found in various regions. They have glowing footprints so it’s obvious to spot them. If the enemies you’re talking about aren’t the scarabs, then feel free to continue reading. Load to a Previous Save
While some of you may see this fix as a no-brainer, you’d be surprised who might miss this. If you load a previous save then return to where you found the invisible enemies, chances are they won’t be invisible anymore and you can get back to doing what you need to do. Reboot Your Game System
Another fairly obvious but important fix to try is to restart either your game or your system. How you do any of these fixes will depend on the system you’re on, though if you want to make it easy, simply powering your system off and back on again should take care of both. If you’re curious as to why this works, sometimes something can go wrong when launching either your system or game that causes temporary corruption with certain files, including the models of certain enemies. As such, you get this issue. Update Your Game or Graphics Drivers
An ever so slightly more advanced tip is to ensure your game is updated or, if you’re on PC, is to update your graphics drivers. The latest game updates can make a world of difference, and if for whatever reason you can’t update something like Elden Ring, it can cause many issues. On the contrary, having older graphics drivers can lead to some serious performance issues alongside gameplay problems. For the graphics drivers, you’ll have to go to either AMD or NVIDIA’s pages depending on which graphics card you have, then simply get the latest version. You can also roll back a current driver, though this is only recommended if you’re somewhat tech savvy. Scan For File Integrity Reinstall Your Game
These two fixes go hand in hand, with the latter being the more long-winded version of the first fix. Scanning for file integrity is a fix exclusive to PC and Steam, in which you right-click the game n your Steam Library, select Properties, go to Local Files, and select Verify Integrity of Game Files. This will scan the game and ensure all files are in working order, downloading whatever’s missing if need be. If you’re on other platforms though, unfortunately, your only way to do this fix is likely to reinstall the game entirely. It’s frustrating, we know, but there aren’t many other choices on other platforms for checking file integrity. If none of these fixes work, then it may be something you have to simply wait for From Software to fix. While we’d love to help with more, we’re players like you, and are merely using what’s been found to be successful. We hope at least that this bug, no matter how rare, will be tackled soon. Related:
