Dying Light 2 Sales Reach 5 Million Copies

The news comes from Techland (the developers of the series), and the two have become synonymous with each other ever since the original was released way back in 2015. It has been well-reported that this survival horror game has had its fair share of problems, but the figures suggest that the Dying Light 2 sales are significantly growing every month. The long list of patch fixes will have something to do with it, and because of them, people now realize that this actually a fun game. The original Dying Light has amassed 20 million lifetime sales, which shows the game’s popularity. Not bad for a company now entering its fourth decade of trade. CEO of Techland Paweł Marchewka had this to say about the series, “The success of the Dying Light franchise is a great example of the unforgettable experiences we create for our players.” He sounds very upbeat about the whole thing, and the projected sales will do wonders for the game and the company’s reputation. Fans of the series just weren’t able to enjoy the game as well as they could, at least compared to the first one. Dying Light 2 was rushed, so the game just wasn’t complete. There were bound to be problems, and it turned many people off. However, as the bugs were fixed, reviews slowly started to improve. Steam players, in particular, have been giving the game some very positive ratings, consisting of Mostly Positive and Overwhelmingly Positive after more than 230k reviews – now, that shouldn’t be taken lightly; the game has become a hit, finally. And those loyal fans had better pay attention now because Techland has announced that they will be bringing some new content to Dying Light 2, as well as some great opportunities for all players soon.
