This stronghold is ruled by Commander Niall, a mighty Elden Ring warrior that can summon spectral knights to his side and drops the unique Fist armament, Veteran’s Prosthesis. Castle Sol also contains several other one-of-a-kind items, including the Eclipse Shotel and Cerulean Amber Medallion +1. This location is also where players can find and solve the Sorcerer Painting Puzzle. Finally, vanquishing Commander Niall in Castle Sol is required to obtain the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left), which is used to access the Consecrated Snowfield in Elden Ring. Acquiring the Eclipse Shotel and facing Commander Niall are two unmissable things Elden Ring players will do in Castle Sol. On the other hand, locating the Sorcerer Painting Puzzle and the Cerulean Amber Medallion +1 might be tricky for some players since these two items are well-hidden along dangerous paths. Related
Elden Ring The Shaded Castle Walkthrough
First, to find the Cerulean Amber Medallion +1, go out the eastern exit of the Church of the Eclipse and turn right. Drop onto the walkway below and head southeastward to a hidden room. Ascend the ladder inside to reach the rooftop. Face west, leap onto the rampart on the other side, and follow the path to a wooden platform with the upgraded Cerulean Amber Talisman in Elden Ring. Next, to find the Sorcerer Painting, go down the path where two Wolves and a Stormhawk are guarding the area. Turn right and drop below, turn around and go beneath the underpass to find an entrance to a tower. Climb the ladder to the top and follow the rampart pathway southwestward towards the Walking Mausoleum. Turn left and go down the wooden overpass leading to Castle Sol’s central tower. Descend the ladder on the roof to find the Painting. To solve the Sorcerer Painting’s Puzzle, players must travel to the bridge leading to the Stargazer Ruins to discover a ghost that will drop the Greathood.
