My Time at Sandrock How to Get Water

Posted By: Madison Bensonon: May 23, 2022In: Early Access, Features, Gaming, PC, SteamTags: Guide, My Time at SandrockNo Comments Print Email With My Time at Sandrock’s Early Access release quickly approaching, becoming familiar with the game’s core mechanics will help you complete story quests easier. The newest entry in the My Time series focuses on gathering resources to build various machines and structures to progress the story. One of the main resources you’ll need to maintain your operations is water. This guide will provide information on obtaining water in My Time at Sandrock.

How to Get Water in My Time at Sandrock

There are two main methods of obtaining water in My Time at Sandrock: Craft water using Dew. Purchase water from Water World, the shop near the oasis, east of the Civil Corps.

Crafting Water Using Dew

The primary method of getting water in My Time at Sandrock is crafting it at your Worktable using Dew. You can obtain Dew from logs and bushes around your workshop. Your best bet will be Yakthorn and Yellow Lavender bushes when you first start. As you improve your axe, Deadwood trees and logs on the ground will provide even more Dew. Be careful not to cut down any cactuses or living Boxtrees. If you are caught chopping them down repeatedly, you’ll be penalized. Another method of obtaining Dew is by researching the Dew Collector at the Research Center using eight Data discs. After researching and building the collector, place it down in your workshop area. Over time, it will collect Dew for you to use to craft water. The collector can store up to 20 Dew at a time, meaning you can let it fill up over several days while doing other activities. Without any upgrades, it costs 10 Dew to craft one water unit. If you buy Level 2 Water Conservation in your Knowledge Workshop skill tree, you’ll only need 8 Dew to craft one water. Since the Mass Production skill node locks this upgrade, you’ll need multiple Workshop skill points to reach this level. You also much be at least Level 5 to access the Knowledge skill trees.

Purchasing Water

Alternatively, you can purchase water from Water World, a shop near Arvio’s House and the Civil Corps building. The first 20 units of water you buy will be a relatively low price. As you buy more, the price drastically increases. The market price and your progress in the main story also influence this price difference. The following shows a range of how much water costs: One bundle of five water units: 50 Gols each, 50 total Four bundles of five water units: 50 Gols each, 200 total Ten bundles of five water units: 200-300 Gols each, 2000-3000 total 50 bundles of five water units: 400-600 Gols each, 20000-30000 total Once you obtain water for your Water tank, interact with it to find your water consumption each hour. Click on Adjust, then use the slider to choose how much water you want in the tank. Confirm your selection to fill the water tank. If your tank runs out of water, your machines will overheat and pause production, halting your progress. Filling your water tank will cool off your machines, resuming production without penalty. My Time at Sandrock Early Access is available starting May 26, 2022, on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Tags: GuideMy Time at Sandrock Previous
