My Time at Sandrock Best Ways to Make Money
Posted By: Madison Bensonon: May 23, 2022In: Early Access, Features, Gaming, PC, SteamTags: Guide, My Time at SandrockNo Comments Print Email With My Time at Sandrock’s Early Access version releasing on May 26, many are eager to pick up the sequel to My Time at Portia. While natural resources are an essential part of your day-to-day operations, you’ll also need plenty of money! Money or “Gols” in My Time at Sandrock is used to purchase goods and services from other characters, fast travel and increase your inventory slots. This guide will teach you some tips and tricks on the best ways to make money, also known as Gols, in My Time at Sandrock Early Access. Best Ways to Make Money in My Time at Sandrock
Like My Time at Portia, there are numerous ways to make money in My Time at Sandrock. If you are already familiar with Portia, several strategies will be very similar. The following are some of the best money-making methods you’ll find while playing My Time at Sandrock: Completing Commissions
Your primary money-making method throughout the game, similar to My Time at Portia, is completing commissions. While the one-star commissions will only give a couple of hundred Gols each time, the rewards significantly increase as your rank rises. For example, while a one-star commission may give you anywhere from 100-250 Gols, a three-star commission can give upwards of 2000. By completing your commissions every day, including during the weekend, you’ll have a steady stream of Gols income throughout your playthrough. Take Advantage of Your Knowledge
My Time at Sandrock introduces a brand-new Knowledge skill tree system that rewards you with Knowledge points as you level up specific skills. One of the most useful skill trees for money-making is the Social Knowledge tree. These skill nodes involve experience and reward bonuses from socializing with NPCs and completing commissions. Below are some examples of helpful Social skill nodes for increasing your rewards from commissions: Quality Bonus Knowledge: +10% Commission reward bonus if you turn in a commission item that’s higher quality than asked. Chart-topper Knowledge: +5% Commission reward bonus if you’re ranked in the top 3 at the Commerce Guild. Quick Delivery Knowledge: +5% Commission reward bonus if you complete a commission the same day it is issued. Complete Your Quests
While this sounds like a no-brainer, the main storyline remains one of your best money-makers throughout the whole game. Even at the beginning of the game, some story quest missions will reward you with several hundred Gols, bringing you a long way towards buying the resources needed to progress. Combined with completing commissions, working towards finishing the main storyline will often reward you with a healthy chunk of money. Additionally, while side quests don’t give nearly as much as the main story, you’ll occasionally find side missions that reward anywhere from 20 to 300 Gols, depending on how long they take and the resources needed to complete them. Selling Crafted Items and Furniture
Over time, you’ll collect an overabundance of resources you no longer need. In particular, items like Stone, Plant Fiber and even Rubber, as you advance further into the story, will become so abundant that using a couple hundred of these resources to craft and sell items will not significantly hinder your progress. Some examples of items to craft and sell include the following: Stone Troughs – Requires x5 Stone to craft Grinding Saws – Requires x4 Dinas and x1 Stone to craft Thin Thread – Requires x2 Plant Fiber to craft Watch Market Prices
This is both a money-making tip and a money-saving one. If the market price multiplier is high, you’ll want to avoid purchasing items from NPC if possible to save money. At the same time, use a high market price percentage to sell your crafted items for more money. Even if there isn’t a huge difference in selling price, each little bit will add up. Likewise, saving a few Gols here and there from buying while the market is low, say at -5%, will add up. Related

While there are plenty of other money-making methods that will help you, these are some examples that will help you build your Gols very quickly. You shouldn’t have too much trouble keeping your Gols balance healthy in My Time at Sandrock by effectively managing your resources and finishing commissions reasonably quickly while still progressing in the main story. My Time at Sandrock Early Access is available starting May 26, 2022, on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
