Until May 31st, the Recon Scanner will be available to find and use for anyone willing to look for it. Players can complete a series of quests this week using the Rail Gun and Recon Scanner for considerable XP until the two weapons are rendered unavailable. Besides being used for quests, the Recon Scanner remains one of the most powerful tools at your disposal, so finding it and knowing how to use it could lend you that special edge you need to secure the Victory Royale. This guide will teach you everything you need to know in detail about where to find a Recon Scanner in Fortnite. Where To Find A Recon Scanner In Fortnite
The Recon Scanner, while a massive addition to the recent Fortnite update, is very simple to find in the game. There are no specific ways to guarantee or spawn the Recon Scanner since it exists within the regular loot pool. So you will have to rely a little bit on RNG for the drop, but do not fear as the drop chance is made quite generous, so with a little bit of effort and patience, you should be able to get yourself one. It can be found as floor loot, chest loot, and IO chest loot, so looking in areas with a high concentration of these could certainly assist your chances. Supply Llamas do not drop Recon Scanners since they only drop materials and consumables as of the past several updates. Places in Fortnite with a high concentration of loot like Command Cavern and Daily Bugle are great places to search for the Recon Scanner.
