Eric Kripke Discusses The Boys Season 3 Inspiration

Along with that, he also explained why the female superheroes will be put through the wringer in this particular season. As he clarified to Total Film Magazine, “Where are Debra Wringer, Kathleen Turner, and Kelly McGinnis? These are really big stars in the world, and they’re really cruelly knocked out of prominence.” In the same interview, he also discussed the aftermath of Homelander and his past romantic relationship with a Nazi. In regards to it, Kripke also said that “To assume Homelander is humiliated presupposes the idea that he feels shame.”. This is a very vague answer considering Homelander is one of (if not) the strongest Supe. Also, this might prove to be a problem for The Boys with just how much everyone is talking about the crazy new season. The Boys Inspiration Season 3 s Expected Route
Based on the comic books by Garth Ennis, The Boys tells the story of an unlikely group of vigilantes as they take on the corrupt empire of superheroes. So far, the series has touched upon themes such as assault, abuse, hyper-sexualization, trafficking, and racism. Season two saw the backlash as a result of exposing the origin of Supes. The season 3 trailer gave fans a look into the new Supes. Jensen Ackles’s Soldier Boy turned out to be the biggest highlight. Snippets of the musical episode were also shown in the trailer. Lastly, the trailer will hold the popular graphic storyline “Herogasm.” As expected, The Boys season 3 is expected to continue the storyline. Though The Boys went their own separate directions, the ending of Season 2 should bring them back soon enough. We were given a glimpse into the damage control behind Homelander and Stormfront. However, it is still unknown how this will play into the bigger scheme of things. Season 3 of The Boys premieres on June 3rd on Amazon Prime. The episodes will then come out weekly.
