Disney Dreamlight Valley Delays Mac Port

Developed and published by Gameloft, this all-ages Disney game will not be available on Mac on day one. Gameloft’s primary experience as a mobile game developer and publisher makes them a curious choice for a game of this caliber. Whether this signals a possible mobile port may be planned later down the road is unknown. Given that they’ve fumbled the ball with the Mac port, hopefully, Gameloft isn’t overextending itself. Many fans were initially surprised, and many doubtful, when the game was originally announced. However, the extensive character customization, and the casual RPG mechanics, have won some skeptics over. The fact that this is an Early Access game also opens up the possibility of future major expansions being added. However, it’s worth noting that no content roadmap has yet been revealed. Disney Dreamlight Valley Not Coming To Mac Just Yet
The developers released a public statement via the game’s official social media accounts: “As Early Access for PC and consoles approaches on Sept 6, we have an update to share on the Mac release. We are currently targeting a Mac release later in 2022 as we focus on optimizations. We assure you that our team is hard at work on these improvements and it is on the way.” The Night Is Darkest Just Before The Dawn
In a follow-up response, the team assured Mac players that they will not miss out on any in-game day one incentives. All in-game rewards granted for player participation during the initial launch will also be made available for Mac players when the game releases on that platform. The theme for this upcoming Disney game is clear: Everything is better when people are brought together. “In order to ensure Mac users don’t miss out, we plan to re-open the First Week Bonus for Mac owners upon its release. Please stay tuned for further updates and thank you for your patience!” Communication is a valuable skill and crucial in marketing. While the delay of Disney Dreamlight Valley is unfortunate for Mac users, it’s better to tell players now rather than withhold the information. Mac users will just have to stay tuned to see when they can join in the fun. Disney Dreamlight Valley is set to release a week from now, on September 6th, 2022.
