PlayStation Acquires Repeat gg eSports Platform

Nearly all the big companies in the gaming industry want to find or acquire an eSports platform. Many companies have attempted it, and another one is happening. PlayStation acquired one of the most prominent eSports platforms, Repeat.gg, and it’s been a surprise for everyone. The platform offers its strategy and analytics to keep players in the game. It has a significant user scale and has hosted thousands of eSports matches. Especially the amateurs are heading up to the platform and improving themselves by matching the other users. The platform is competing with others like ThirdVerse and Dive. Repeat.gg isn’t the biggest platform in the eSports market, but PlayStation’s acquisition might carry it to the lead. The company’s investments in the online gaming market are getting more significant. Last week, the acquisition of Bungie was completed, and the developer of Destiny 2 belonged to PlayStation. It was a substantial investment for the company, and Repeat.gg’s acquisition is the sequel to it. It’s not clear how much Sony paid for the platform, but we know Sony will have a profit if they keep their investments in the Repeat.gg platform.
